I've found that 2-3 longer runs (12-13 miles) are enough for me, as long as I'm consistent with my weekly mileage. Anything more and I risk burnout. I'd rather do fewer, quality long runs than try to cram in extra miles just for the sake of it. What's your weekly mileage looking like?
