Good call on the trail shoes! I've also found them to be a game-changer for winter running. For extreme heat, I've started using arm sleeves to protect my skin from the sun. They're lightweight and breathable, and make a big difference on long runs.
Thanks for the advice! I've been doing some PT exercises, but I haven't tried gradual return to running yet. Do you have any specific tips on how to do that safely? I don't want to aggravate the injury.
