Sleep is the most underrated recovery tool out there. I've been getting at least 7 hours of sleep every night and it's made a huge difference in my performance. I'd rather get a good night's sleep than waste my time with fancy recovery gadgets. It's not sexy, but it works.

Preach. I'm so over the constant stream of 'new and improved' crap. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Most of this stuff is just a marketing gimmick to separate us from our hard-earned cash. I'm with you, I stick to what works and ignore the noise.
I'm all about beating my own ass. If I'm not pushing myself to be faster, stronger, and better, then what's the point? Screw comparing to others, it's a waste of time. I set my own goals, crush them, and repeat. That's how you get real progress.
Pace over distance, that's a solid approach. I've done similar workouts, and it's all about finding that sweet spot where you're challenged but not dying.
