Achilles Tendinitis - Anyone Else Struggling?

Been dealing with achilles tendinitis for a few weeks now and it's been a real setback. Anyone else out there experiencing the same issue? What's worked for you in terms of treatment and prevention? I've been trying rest, ice, and stretching, but progress is slow.

Yeah, I've been there too. Frustrating as hell. For me, it was a combo of rest, stretching, and strengthening my calf muscles that finally got me back on track. Also, ditched my old shoes for a new pair with better support. Took a few months, but I was able to get back to my regular running routine. Hang in there, it'll get better.

Ugh, achilles tendinitis is the worst. I had it last year and it took me 6 weeks to fully recover. In addition to rest, ice, and stretching, I started doing eccentric calf exercises and that seemed to help. Also, made sure to gradually increase my mileage and intensity when I started running again. Fingers crossed for you, mate.
