Static Stretching Before Runs

Does anyone still do static stretches before heading out? I used to, but I've since switched to dynamic warm-ups. Wondering if I'm missing out on anything. Do you find static stretches help with injury prevention or improved performance?

I'm a newbie, but I've been doing dynamic warm-ups from the start. Never really got into static stretches, and I don't feel like I'm missing out. My runs feel good, and I'm injury-free so far!

I ditched static stretches years ago and haven't looked back. Dynamic warm-ups get me ready to run without wasting time on static holds. I've not seen any conclusive evidence that static stretches prevent injuries or improve performance. If it works for you, cool, but I think it's a relic of the past.

I'm with you, dynamic warm-ups all the way. Never saw any benefits from static stretches, and they always felt like a waste of time. If you're not getting injured, you're probably doing something right.

I'm with you on this one. Static stretches are a waste of time. I've never seen any scientific evidence that proves they prevent injuries or improve performance. In fact, I think they can even decrease power and speed. Dynamic warm-ups are the way to go. They get you ready to run and don't waste your time.
