Tapering Anxiety

I'm about to start my first taper before a half marathon and I'm already feeling anxious about it. I've been training for months and the thought of reducing my mileage is making me nervous. Has anyone else experienced this? How do you deal with the fear of losing fitness during taper? Do you stick to your plan or try to sneak in extra miles?

Tapering anxiety is just FOMO in disguise. You're not gonna lose fitness in 2 weeks, dude. Your body's been working hard, let it chill. Stick to the plan and trust the process.

I've been there too! It's normal to feel anxious about tapering. Just remind yourself that it's a necessary step to perform your best on race day. Focus on rest, nutrition, and visualization to stay positive and confident.

Tapering anxiety is real! I've been there too. It's hard to slow down after months of intense training. But trust me, your body needs it. Remember, tapering is not about losing fitness, it's about allowing your body to recover and peak on race day. Stick to your plan, and try to focus on active recovery instead of extra miles. You've got this!

Yeah, tapering sucks, but it's necessary. Just chill, you'll be fine.
