Half Marathon Training: How Many Rest Days?

I'm 8 weeks into my half marathon training plan and I'm feeling a bit fatigued. How many rest days do you typically take per week? Do you find it helps with recovery and performance?

I'm a bit of an old-school runner, but I think 1 rest day per week is plenty. You need to listen to your body, but you also don't want to lose momentum. I've found that active recovery (e.g., a slow jog or cross-training) can be just as effective as a full rest day. But hey, if you need an extra day off, take it! 😊

I'm a beginner like you, but from what I've learned, 1-2 rest days per week is a good rule of thumb. Your body needs time to recover, especially when you're pushing yourself with a training plan. I've found that taking a rest day helps me come back stronger for my next run. Don't be afraid to listen to your body and take an extra day off if you need it!
