Cross-training for injury prevention: is it all it's cracked up to be?

I've been doing swim and bike workouts on my rest days, but is it really making a difference in my running? Thoughts?

I've been cross-training with yoga and strength training on rest days. Definitely helps with injury prevention and overall performance. Swimming and biking are great too, but it's all about finding what works for you and your body.

Honestly, if you're not injured, you're just wasting your time. I've got better things to do on my rest days than pretend to be a triathlete. If you're not getting faster or stronger, what's the point?

I get where you're coming from, but I think cross-training can help with active recovery. It's not about getting faster or stronger, but about reducing the risk of overuse injuries. For me, it's about listening to my body and taking rest days seriously.

I understand where you're coming from, but for me, cross-training has been a game-changer for injury prevention. It's not about getting faster or stronger, but about maintaining my overall fitness while giving my running muscles a break. It's all about balance.

Honestly, I've never bothered with cross-training. Just run more and you'll get better. If you're injured, you're probably just doing it wrong.

I disagree, cross-training has helped me with injury prevention. It strengthens other muscles that running doesn't, and can help with recovery. It's not about doing it wrong, it's about being smart and proactive.
