How Far Back Does Your Running History Go?

I've been running for about 5 years now, and I've got a decent log of my past runs. But I'm curious - how far back do you guys keep track of your running history? Do you still have logs from your first few runs, or have you purged them in favor of more recent data? Do you think it's useful to look back on your progress over time, or is it just nostalgia? Share your thoughts!

I've been running for about 15 years, and I've got a patchy log of my past runs. I've lost a few logbooks over the years, and I've never been diligent enough to keep a spreadsheet. I do have some old training plans and race results scattered around, but it's not like I can look back and see a clear progression. Maybe I'm just not that interested in nostalgia. What's done is done, and I'm more focused on the next run than the last one.

I've been running for over 10 years, and I've got a spreadsheet going back to my very first run. It's not just nostalgia - seeing my progress over time is a huge motivator. I like to look back on how far I've come, and it helps me set realistic goals for the future. Plus, it's cool to see how my training habits have evolved over the years.
