Lactate Threshold Testing Worth the Hassle

I've been hearing a lot about lactate threshold testing lately, but I'm not convinced it's worth the time and money. Has anyone out there done one of these tests? Did it really help you optimize your training and improve your performance? Or was it just a bunch of fancy data that didn't translate to real-world results? I'm curious to hear about your experiences and whether you think it's something worth pursuing.

I've done LT tests before and I think they're useful, but only if you know how to interpret the data and adjust your training accordingly. It's not a magic bullet, but it can give you valuable insights into your performance. If you're willing to put in the work and make changes based on the results, then it's worth it. But if you're just looking for a quick fix, then it's probably not for you.

I did an LT test a year ago and it was an eye-opener. It helped me identify my weaknesses and adjust my training accordingly. I saw significant improvements in my performance, especially in my longer runs. It's not just about the data, it's about understanding your body and how to push it. Worth the hassle if you're serious about taking your running to the next level.
