I've been trying to figure out when to eat before a morning run. Should I eat a light meal/snack 30 minutes beforehand or just stick to water? Any advice would be appreciated.
I'm no expert, but I've found that a light snack like a banana or energy bar about 30-45 minutes before a morning run works for me. Gives me a bit of energy without feeling too full. Water is a must though, don't forget to hydrate!
Honestly, I just wing it. If I wake up hungry, I grab something quick like toast or a granola bar. If not, I just head out. Haven't died yet, so I guess it's working.
