I've been thinking about incorporating yoga into my training to improve flexibility and reduce injury risk. Has anyone tried it? Is it really beneficial for runners or just a nice-to-have?
Tried it, loved it! Increased flexibility, reduced injuries. Worth the hype, in my book.
Tried it, didn't see much difference. Maybe it's just me, but I'd rather spend that time on actual running.
I've done yoga on and off, and while it hasn't drastically improved my running, it does help with recovery. I feel less sore after long runs when I've been consistent with yoga. It's not a replacement for running, but a supplement to help with overall performance and longevity.
