Injury prevention for beginners: What am I missing?

I've been running for a few months now and I'm slowly increasing my mileage. I've been doing some stretching and foam rolling, but I'm worried I'm not doing enough to prevent injuries. What else should I be doing to protect my body? Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Great start on the stretching and foam rolling! Consider incorporating strength training exercises 2-3 times a week to target your core, glutes, and legs. This will help stabilize your joints and reduce your risk of injury. Also, don't forget to listen to your body and take rest days as needed.
