I've watched a bunch of running documentaries over the years, but there's one that really got me pumped to lace up and hit the roads. For me, it was 'The Spirit of the Marathon' - there was something about the stories of those runners that just resonated with me. What about you? Is there a particular doc that inspired you to start running or push yourself harder? Share your favorite!
For me, it was 'Unbroken: The Western States 100'. Watching Jim Walmsley crush the course record was incredible, but it was the stories of the other runners that really got me. Seeing people from all walks of life come together to push themselves to the limit was truly inspiring. It made me want to sign up for my first ultra on the spot!
I loved 'Unbroken' too! The way it showcased the community aspect of ultrarunning was really motivating. It's amazing how documentaries can spark that fire in us, isn't it?
I'd have to say it was 'Hoka One One: Chasing the Dream' for me. Seeing those elite athletes push their limits was super motivating.
I'm with you on 'The Spirit of the Marathon'! But I also have to give a shoutout to 'Boston: The Documentary'. Hearing the stories of runners from all over the world coming together for that iconic race really got me pumped to tackle my own marathon goals. 🏃♀️
Yeah, 'The Spirit of the Marathon' is a great one. I've seen 'Boston: The Documentary' too, and it's amazing to see the community come together like that. Another one that motivated me was 'Unbroken' - the story of Louis Zamperini is just incredible. It's amazing what people can push themselves to achieve.
Yeah, 'The Spirit of the Marathon' is a great one. I've seen it a few times and it always gets me motivated. I haven't seen 'Boston: The Documentary' though, might have to check it out. Not sure if it'll make me want to run a marathon, but it's always good to hear inspiring stories from fellow runners.
